All good things come to an end… The same happened to my first granola :)
I’ve had an idea for a new granola for quite some time so when the time came, I decided to make another one. Of course, I won’t be recommending things that can be found in Sweet Fit because they’re so obviously good that they don’t need any special recommendations. Seeds, nuts, oats, dried fruit – simply perfect. As an extra, I can say that this granola is a bit more… refreshing. Good job orange juice! :)

So next weeks of eating straight from the jar are coming ;D

Ingredients (1l jar):

  • 125g oats
  • 125g wholemeal oats
  • 100g cashew
  • 50g sliced almonds
  • 2 Tbs honey
  • 1 Tbs oil
  • 60g brown sugar
  • 100ml orange juice
  • lemon juice (from one lemon)
  • a drop of vanilla flavour
  • handful of banana chips

Mix the oats with cashew and almonds. Add a drop of flavour and stir it.

Mix the juices with honey and oil. Boil it and cool a bit.

Pour the dry ingredients with warm (not hot!) liquid and stir it.
Leave till the liquid absorbed.
After a moment add brown sugar and stir it again.

Line the baking pan with baking paper.
(At first you can oil the pan so that the paper doesn’t move while mixing granola later on)
Check if the liquid is fully absorbed and pour granola onto the pan.

Dry it at 160°C up to 40 minutes and remember to mix it with a spatula every 10 minutes or so.

After having it dried, mix it with banana chips.
Cool and put in the jar.

Smacznego!
