Energy Bars

Are you in need of rehab?
Do you tend to snack quite often choosing sweets and chocolates mostly?
These Bars will be a nice solution for you :)
Such a simple substitute they are! No-sweet, crispy and very tasty. And above all, they can help you to get rid of this little hunger :)
At first, I wanted to make them as no-bake bars (like in the original recipe) but it turned out they were not solid at all… So a quick decision to finally bake them and… bingo :)
Still, I think I’ll have another attempt to make a no-bake version of them in the nearest future :)


  • 8 Tbs old-fashioned oats
  • 8 Tbs rye oats
  • 3 Tbs sesame
  • 3 Tbs flaxseed
  • a handful of dried cranberry
  • a handful of pumpkin seeds
  • 4 Tbs almond flakes
  • 2 Tbs bran
  • 2 Tbs ground almonds
  • 2 whites
  • 5 Tbs honey (next time I’ll add more as it is suggested in the original recipe – 8 Tbs)

Line the form with bakery paper.

Combine dry ingredients i.e. oats, seeds, dried fruit and bran.

Heat up honey a bit.
Pour the dry ingredients with honey and stir.

Add whites to the mixture and stir it again.

Place the mass on bakery paper forming bars or round cookies.

Bake at 180°C for about 15-20 minutes.
