What kind of recipe can you expect when I’m not here for such a long time, huh?
What kind of recipe can you expect when it’s so warm during these summer days, huh?
What kind of recipe can you expect when a person posting is so deeply and hopelessly addicted, huh?

Hello, Ice-Cream for you!

The main idea was to make something that would taste exactly the way shop ice-cream tastes… So that when you walk around the city and you see Kinder Bueno Ice-cream, you think “need to buy it, definitely not something I can make at home”.
Well… wroooong :)
Can be done and what is more, tastes amazing!

Just a small warning… it’s got thousands of calories, no joke ;)
Oh well :)

For children… these small and big ones :)

I was supposed to post it yesterday to welcome The First Day of Spring… but… yes, as usual “a but” :) Since Spring decided to come a bit late, I decided to follow its example :)

I spotted this flavour in one of our cafes and thought it would be nice to try to make it at home… Nothing new, right? :)
As a base I used checked, tasty, sure, tried and trusted Chocolate Ice-Cream from Moje Wypieki.

Here it is, especially for you – My Sweet Addiction :)
May Spring be with you!

Drunk Prune Cheesecake

POLISH VERSION
HTML tutorial

As I mentioned yesterday, two cheesecakes made, two recipes posted :)

Once again it turned out that we eat with our eyes first. I think I wouldn’t have decided to make this cake but for some amazing pictures I came across one day :) Only later did it turn out that the taste is as amazing as the pictures! But all in all, pictures were first, weren’t they? :)
And where did I find these pictures? Oh, I found them on MaƂgosia’s blog called Smaki Alzacji. I need to admit that some other recipes had already caught my eye… so in the nearest future I hope to check them out too :)

And well, I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t make something with Drunk Prune in the title of the recipe :) I just love this combination. whether we’re talking about cakes, ice-cream, desserts or any anything :)
Here I wouldn’t say that prunes dominate the taste of the cheesecake but they can be really felt both in the taste as well as in the consistency :)
Rum not so much… What a pity, right? ;P
Anyway, higly recommended for Drunk Prunes fans!

And one more thing, I changed the proportions a bit as well as the temperature of baking… But it’s more connected with my own preferences of baking. That’s all :)

Now!
To the kitchen! :)

No Bake Toffi Cheesecake

POLISH VERSION
HTML tutorial

photobucket.com

Short but reeealy intense need to make some cheesecakes! That is why, two cheese-recipes coming up :)

Seriously though, there were several things that made me prepare this cheesecake… Firstly, never have I made mascarpone cheesecake sooo… high time :) Secondly, never have I made no baking cheesecake soooo… high time? :) Thirdly, the moment I saw the recipe and the photo presenting this cake, I knew it would be impossible to refrain oneself from making it, not to mention eating it! And finally, all the ingredients were patiently waiting in my kitchen to use them in a reasonable and… yummy way :) Coincidence? Doubtful :)
Oh, and above all, this cake was made to convince an Anti-Cheesecake Lady to cheesecakes in general! Was it successful? I guess it was :)

Toffi Cheesecake is quite creamy and very sweet :)
One piece of it will satisfy your belly for sure :)

If you have a really sweet tooth, this cake is certainly for you!

PeanutButter MiniCheesecakes

It’s been a week or more now since I started eating peanut butter regularly. By saying regularly I mean… everyday ;)
Sometimes I’m trying to pretend that it’s only an addition to some wafers… But sometimes this pretending is pointless – I just eat it straight from the jar… My jeans started protesting.

Because of my new eating habit, I realised I forgot to post one of the recipes based on peanut butter.
I’m doing it right now… getting down to some new recipes :)

Coffee Brownies

POLISH VERSION

Maybe it’s not one of the most holiday-like recipes but I have really had a craving for coffee recently. Any version of it :)
Still, I think that next posts will be more suitable for summer time :)

About the cake – Coffee Brownies – flawless.
I know I’ve been using this description quite often but… well, what can I do when it’s so good? :) To my taste, of course :)
This brownies is wetty chocolatey and quite alcoholic… While it’s being baked, the smell of the cake surrounds the whole flat… Amazing.

And just a short explanation for my recent absence… Well, to cut the story short, it’s all about a new passion :) It turns out we learn throughout our whole lives and we can really surprise ourselves, positively so :)
As for now, I’ve been trying to find time for everything :)
After the long weekend I think I’ll come back with some new ice-cream recipes… All in all, Andrew is here with me :)

Chocolate Salami

It’s decided!
We’re changing Sarenka’s profile!
Butcher-like it will be ;)
That would be something, right?

While looking through some recipes on Moje Wypieki, I found information about Dorota’s favourite blog… It made me really curious… That kind of recommendation speaks for itself. I had to check on it!
It turned out that ChilliBite is a really yummy blog.
And the idea of making Chocolate Salami appealed to me the moment I saw it :)
What is more, only after some time did I get to know that this bar is also one of the traditional desserts of Portugal! Isn’t it nice? You know my adoration for this language :)

Well, a real piece of chocolate meat for you :)

Royal

Nope, I didn’t disappear.
I still bake. No way I’ll stop :)
Recently, it’s been more about baking cakes for my family and friends. Mostly birthday cakes :) And you know how it is with birthday cakes… You make them. You can’t taste them. You can’t slice them. They’re just made and off they go :)
Nevertheless, I’ll try to post some recipes. The cakes were too good not to share them with you :)

Royal was prepared for my Grandma’s 80th birthday and I think it was a perfect choice. The cake is very interesting in taste… a bit luxurious, I would say :) It looks quite elegant as well. To be honest, Royal is more likely to win the hearts of men since it is rather heavy and wet. I don’t know how to explain it but there is something mannish about this cake… ;)
And bear in mind that if someone is not fond of peanut butter, they won’t like this cake. Even though there is only one thin layer of peanut butter cream, its taste can be really distinguished. Well, for such a peanut butter fan as I am it’s a perfect match :)

Last weeks were about Royal Baby.
So this post can be about Royal Cake, right? ;P

Coconut Layer Cake with Black Currant

POLISH VERSION

How was your Easter?
You can’t move, right? ;)
Do not worry, it will soon pass ;)

I know I should be posting my diet juices now… just, I don’t feel like ;) So against all the unwritten rules, I’m offering you something sweety sweet :)
Think about all those people who suffered self-sacrifice during Lent time… They deserve some nice treat now, right? ;)

I found this cake here. I decided to change the jams, though, since I really don’t feel like eating strawberries now… Maybe I’m waiting for their season to come..? Probably yes :)
First time I made this cake, I couldn’t cut it, touch it or even take any pictures… Why so? The cake was not for me. It was for my friend who celebrated her birthday. And hey, she is recommending this cake too! Just so you know! :)
But coming back to what I was saying, that was my second attempt and this time all the procedures before tasting the cake took place ;)

The taste of coconut is prominent here. And it is the black currant jam that breaks it a bit. I wouldn’t be so sure about the raspberries that are suggested in the original recipe… Wouldn’t it be too sweet? No idea. Need to check it one day :)
If you want your sponge to be wetty wet, do not forget to leave coconut milk in the fridge overnight. You’ll get much more coconut water which is necessary for soaking.

So so so, I truly recommend this deliciousness, especially to those who are coconut lovers!

It looked so tempting and classy in the pictures… And the combination of coconut and chocolate seemed so perfect… And… Well, everything was for making this cheesecake :)
Indeed, everyone was saying that it was a real taste bingo :) Uff, what a relief ;)
I think that this is the mousse that does the trick. It is so delicate and delicious.

As you can see, my longing for cheesecakes has been growing stronger… So maybe… another one is the nearest future..? :)
